The translators have not been fair, | joined in pageants jatrodveln as were the King James translators, and put the added words in italics, one can never tell except y comparison, what a e has been put in, or left out. In addition to that, they have copyrighted the Bible | so that no extended quotation for com- parative purposes can be made without the express permission of the sponsors. They have removed the only biblical authority in the old testament for the miracle of the virgin birth of Christ by changing Isaiah 7:17 from reading VIRGIN to reading a young woman, which robs the conception of being any miracle whatever. Yet the writer of St. Matthew knew the correct translation in his day and put it In Greek so there could be no change. After reading the Darmphist, I do hope that you will decide to give our good people of Georgia enough warning te put them on guard enough te investigate before adopting and buying this new | Bible into thelr homes. IMPORTANCE OF OBEYING THE LAW The sale of cattle from farm to farm without proper precautions is endanger- ing the health - many people and caus- ing tremendous losses to farmers. The indiscriminate hauling of cattle from barn to barn is a threat to the entire live- stock industry in the State. The violation of quarantine of infected animals is a crime and endangers the health of the general public and also causes the spread of disease to the herds of innocent purehasers. I do not think anyone will question : that the above stated facts make it im- ~ perative for all sales barns to be |. thoroughly. cleaned and disinfected be-. fore each sale. DISEASED AND EXPOSED ANIMALS SCATTER LIKE WILDFIRE From the: above record you can see a: that from one little s t in Georgia these diseased and exposed. sales barns showing to whom. they went, it would have been impossible to have tracked down these diseased and exposed - animals. It would have been difficult to_ show violation of quarantine. The live- stock industry of the State would have suffered damage and no one can tell how much. : oe CATTLE STEALING The keeping of proper records at sales barns offers the greatest protection again- st cattle rustlers. Stolen cattle will soon- er or later find their way to market. Proper records are of the greatest help to police officers in running down stolen cattle. INTER-STATE MOVEMENT OF CATTLE All of the work being done for the POSITIONS WANTED it possible for us to do the job i propriations sufficient, to do. a. There is. Sis more impo t animals were car- | - ried to Washington; Wilkes County, to _ Taliaferro County, to Richmond: County, to Toombs County, Montgomery County, Appling County, Jeff Davis County, and - to the State of South Carolina. Had it not been for the system of | records of animals coming into sales | barns, showing where. they came from and of records of animals going out of - investment of less than 1 se nb of. as much as the armer, every dollar invested in aucti dealers can be of help in ' prices at sales barns. It mus _ bered, however, that the farme! general consuming public ar _ who have the greatest stake dr _ stock business and who stand or lose the most by the spread ~ stock diseases. Every man who a public business should be handling, transportation and POSITIONS WANTED control of livestock disease would be of little value without enforcement of the law as to cat ing across state lines. Without enforcement of these laws diseas tle and stolen cattle can easily be from one state to another. If you will look on your ma see that Georgia has an expose of more than 700 miles. Th proximately 75 highways comii Georgia from other states, to sa of county and country roads, a lot of money to carry out properly. The only thing tha have done during the last f was a special appropriation ernor Talmadge gave us of $20 carry out the livestock dice work. a The Legislature meets in am there is $200 invested by the pasture and livestock. = Auction barns should be en to do.a good job. Nobody objec making a reasonable profit. Bro keep necessary records in the s the general public as well as in interest. Proper steps will, ae course, a to carry out the laws with regai animals set out above. TOM LINDER Commissioner of Agrict Elderly woman wants job on ileox, Dalton, 809 E.
