The average price of middling %-inch cotton on 10 southern markets yesterday was 8.71c per lb. Staple premiums being paid yesterday on ten southern designated markets averaged 29 points on the %-inch price for mid. 15-16ths- inch cotton and 53 points on for mid. 1-inch cotton. : New York future closed today, Dec. 8.64.
