The Cotton Situation So many inquiries are coming to me ae relative to the status of prospective cotton growers that I am giving them the: latest information pertaining to the subject. : The Southern Commissioners of Agriculture met at Birm- ingham, Atlanta, Columbia and Washington, At all these meetings we agreed on one basic principle and that was that the burdensome surplus must be greatly reduced. We decided that a 9,000,000 bale crop could be produced this year at a good profit without fear of other cotton producing countries. nullifying this American reduction.
