No. BT Advertisers Asked to Send Ads Separately | - At the top of this page in small black type you will find revised instructions for the Market Bulletin advertisers. As you notice they are requested to write individual ads on separate pieces of paper. For instance, if a man has sheep, white leghorn and brown leghorn chickens, and machinery for sale, he should write the sheep ad, the white leghorn ad, the brown leghorn ad, and the ma- chinery ad each on different pieces of paper. This will not only get your ad in the Bulletin quicker but also will enable the office to file your ad satisfactori- ly. At present it is impossible to save the ads. tain to write your name and address on each piece of pa- per and ad. - Market Quotations Restored In the reorganization of the Bureau under the new ad- ministration it was necessary to discontinue market quo-- tations service until competent reporters in the impor- tant centers could be secured. Such men have now been secured by Mr. Talmadge and the full service, with quo- tations from leading Georgia markets, are restored with Be cer- | New Mailing List Effective Next Week The Mailing List Coupon has been discontinued and the Bureau expects to inaugurate the new list next week. First Edited by Mrs. \ It has been estimated that over two hundred millions of dollars were spent outside of the state of Georgia last year for food products consumed by the This is a tremendous amount of money and it will behoove the men and women of Georgia to work together to the end that this great sum be kept in the state and pent with the Georgia farmers who in turn will keep the money in eirculation among all branches of business enterprises. California, Tennessee, Louisiana, Florida, and other states are at pres- ent profiting largely from the lack of co-operation between the Georgia It is believed that a closer relationship between the citizens of Georgia will make it possible for the Georgia pro- ducer to provide all food supplies for the people of the state and that this annual revenue will then be kept at home to the mutual benefit of all. At this time when the production of food supplies is at the peak and bountiful crops of all kinds of perishable vegetables are maturing daily and the markets are apt to scem glutted the writer hopes that some thought will be given to the conservation of many varietes of vegetables for fu- Four-fifths of the dried butterbeans, navy beans, and even field peas used in Georgia throughout the winter months are shipped from California and - the freight charges for hauling equais the cost of the butterbeans. crops of butterbeans can be successfully grown here annually. PRESERVING FRUITS IN DEMAND House-keepers in the ities are beginning to think about new and fresh honey. There will soon be a market for a great deal of honey, and it is hoped that the Georgia Farmers can supply the cities and towns with large quantities of honey this year. There is usually a splendid market for cooking pears, which are due to be marketed in the near future. The demand for cooking and preserving pears is never over supplied in the cities, and housewives will appreciate a larger supply this year than ever before. As the cost of sugar is down, this will very probably be a season of home canning, and home preserving will also be very popular. The farmers un- doubtedly will find a ready market for large quantities of canning and pre- serving fruits and will render the housewives in the cities throughout .the State a service by keeping all stores, markets, fruit stands, etc., well sup- plied with fruits and berries particularly suitable for preserving. : Among the fruits most popular with house-keepers and best adapted for preserving is the pear, quince, clear-stone peaches for canning and preserv- ing while the cling-stone peach (which seems to be getting searce) will be in demand for pickling. Grapes, blackberries, figs are always in demand, especially the fig. Crab apples make delicious jelly and also tart -sauces / meats. and marmalade for By close co-operation between the producer and the housewife all fruit that is not consumed could be conserved for winter use through the various processes of canning and preserving. A tremendous amount of money is spent for canned fruits, jellies, jams, etc., that the housewives of Georgia can divert to producers of the State by- increasing the volume of home canning and preserving. : -WOMANS DEPARTMENT Flowers, Seeds and Plants for Sale Miss Florie Hughey, R 1 Ranger Ga Sweet seented dbl red Carnations well rooted dbl red Geraniums blooming size 15c ea or 2 for 25c; dbl White Martha Washington Geran- jum 20c ea 2 for 35c; single red pansy Ger- aniums 20c ea 2 for 35q; red dbl rose bud Geraniums Fire ball 20e ea any 8 for $1; a large fern free with ea $1 order; Fountain ferns 20 ea, American Beauty col sultana 10c ea 8 for 25c; pink, red Gloria Da Chat- tine Begonia 15c ea; Orange plant 20c ea; e dbl Petunia Orchid, purple red & wht varie- : gated 15c ea 2 for 25c; Maple and Grape Begonia 15c ea; Lantana 15c ea; Amazon Plume plant rose col 15 &; mums mix dol 25c doz, all well rooted something free with ea order; Fuschia 15 & 25 ea - Mrs A Daniel, Winder Ga R 1 One doz large blooming Impatiens yellow 25c ea; yellow & gold Cannas, orchid blooms 3 for -25c; Canary Yellow Cannas 3 for 25c; Dor- othy Perkins rose vines rooted pink 25 ea; Plumosus vine 10c, 15c, 254 50c ea Amary- llis bulbs 2 for 25c; Aenia plants fine mixed 25 doz; Verbena white pink, deep pink 2 shades lavender 10c ea; Trailing Queen Col- eum 5e 10c 15 ea fine plants; Fancy leaf Coleous 10 & 15c ea; Silver & Green plants Be 10c 15c ea; fancy leaf Caladiums 25 ea; ES mums dif cols large flowered 6 for 25;; _ Hardy mums 15 plants 25 Add postage on ee plants wanted ; x WOMANS DEPARTMENT Miscellaneous For Sale : : Mrs L F Garner, Cornelia Ga R 1 Second pes hand organ almost new $40 = Mrs E A Borders, R F D 2 Warrenton Ga 1 Sunshine Safty Lamp $4 or exe for pure White Wyandotte, 2 young pullets and cock- erel or exe for 3 gal new honey Mrs Anice Bryant, R 2 Ranger Ga 3-4 Ib nice yellow butter per week 40c lb parties furnish cartons and postage Lonnie Rundles Gainsville Ga 2 lb nice 4 Jersey butter ea week 85c per lb add pos- tage - ae Mrs W M Arrington Wadley Ga Rt 2 Home made dry sage 45 per lb add pos- tage Miss Mary Johnston Bullard Dry Branch Ga home made candies assorted with fruit and nuts 55 2 Ib for $1 plain (1 kind) 45c delivered: Mrs Scott Davis Hogansville Ga New home machine in good sewing condition $12.50 or exc for young Giattt mammoth bronze tur- keys 2 ASS : Mrs F C Alexander Rt 1 Ranger Ga yeast eakes 20c doz... ; B D S per cent Bureau of Markets At- lanta Ga large 38-piece grey pearl toliet set for sale new never used in pretty lined box set consists of large hand mirror brush and comb $6 Mrs T K Moore Rt 8 Canton Ga+Peacock tail make best offer; pr peafowls $85 Minnie Roberts R F D 4 Buford Ga Re- ceipt to make 38 gallons good home made soap in 2 days with rain water no cooking 50c cash with order Mrs J T Lewis Rt 2-Colleg Park Ga home knitting machine in perfect condition with instruction book, needles yarn 6 hosiery boards every thing ready for use or exc for chickens pigs or anything can use on farm machine used 1 yr = C M Jackson Lawrenceville Ga I ecard wool into rools for the old fashion spinning wheel and card wool into bats to make quilts and mattresses .
