r A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, (Jr and Debbie) Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, (Dickerson and Jefferson Family), Im counting onyou. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all how I truly was blessed... (g8yrs). Continue traditions, the family reunion, no matter how small. Go on with your life, family, dont worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes, were together again. -Author Unknown - The family of Marie D. OLIVE MEMORIAL GARDENS 3666 Deans Bridge Road Hephzibah, Georgia Reverend Dr. Charles E. Goodman, Jr. - Officiating Pastor/Teacher - Tabernacle Baptist Church 1223 Laney Walker Boulevard | Augusta, Georgia 702 N Belair Road | Evans, Georgia I MARIE DICKERSON WRIGHT was born on March 23, 1923, to the late Marion Dickerson, Sr. and Gertrude Dickerson in McBean, Georgia. Marie was the tenth child of ten children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jordon Wright of forty-four years. Marie was baptized at an early age at Spirit Creek Baptist Church, Augusta, Georgia. Later in life, she joined Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Spencer Hamilton. Accordingly during her sixty-five years of membership, she faithfully served as a member of the Sanctuary Choir, a Deaconess, a Mother of the Church, and in various other ministries. Marie was also a lifelong member of the New Era Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, Inc. Marie was educated in the Richmond County School System. She worked as a secretary at Pilgrim Health & Life Insurance Company, Augusta, Georgia for forty- plus years. Marie also worked diligently with her hands: gardening, sewing, and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends which were some of her favorite things to do. Marie lived her life with enthusiasm and exuberance. She moved through life with grace and charisma with an amazing capacity to love and give to others. She was known for her exquisite taste: her suits, hats, shoes, and jewelry always made a statement. She never left a room until she shared a hug and a smile. Loving memories will be cherished by: her son, Elias Burton, Jr. (Debbie), Augusta, Georgia; grandson, Rico T. Partlow, Atlanta, Georgia; stepdaughters, Reverend Darlene Cooley (Matthew), and Marilyn Taylor (Greg), both of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Dont grieve for me, for now Im free. Im following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; oh yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My lifes been full, I savored much; good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief; dont lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free. efwiee Scriptures............Reverend Dr. Wanda Richardson Tabernacle Baptist Church Augusta, Georgia Old Testament - Isaiah 53: 4-5 (NIV) New Testament - 2 Corinthians 5: 6-8 (NIV) Prayer of Comfort..........Reverend Sonya London Tabernacle Baptist Church Augusta, Georgia Musical Selection....May the Work Ive Done Speak for Me REFLECTIONS (Two Minutes, Please) Church Member............Dr. Ronald Brown Sr. Chairman of the Deacon Board [ Tabernacle Baptist Church Family Member..................Dr. Terry Elam Cousin Acknowledgements...............Ms. Debra Hammond Great-Niece Musical Selection..........My Soul is Anchored in the Lord Eulogy............Reverend Dr. Charles E.
