t, the youngest son of the late, Deacon Moses Wilson and Sister Florence Jones Wilson, was born August 13, 1931, in Hampton County, South Carolina. He was called home to rest October 7, 2001 at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. 
 
He was brought up in a Christian home, and was taught the spiritual need of 
 
keeping Christ first and foremost in his life. With this training, he joined the Saint 
 
Luke Baptist Church of Allendale County at an early age, and served well. After 
 
moving to Augusta, Georgia, he obeyed the doctrine of the Baptist Covenant 
 
and joined the Mount Calvary Baptist Church where he remained a loyal and 
 
dedicated member until his health declined. He had a great love for his church 
 
and gave of his time, talent and treasures willingly and untiringly. In his service 
 
to God, and his church, he served in various capacities; the Deacons Ministry, a 
 
chartered member of the F. H. Hart Male Chorus where he served as Chaplain, 
 
the Church School where he served as Assistant Superintendent, and teacher of 
 
the Mens Class, the Finance Committee, and the Ushers Ministry. He was also 
 
honored by the Church School as father of the year, 2001.

Education was always of paramount importance to his family. He completed his elementary and high school education in the public schools of Allendale, South Carolina. He did further study during his service in the U. S. Army from which he was honorably discharged. He retired from the Savannah River Plant and Westinghouse Savannah River Company after over 40 years of service. 
 
He is survived by a loving and devoted family, wife, Elizabeth Busby Wilson; a daughter, Jacquelyn; a son Reginald; three brothers, John Wilson, Savannah, GA, Abraham Wilson, Newark, NJ, and Richard Wilson, Allendale, SC; four sisters, Alberta Wilson, Mozelle Saxon, Euella Owens, all of Philadelphia, PA, and Fiona Scott, New York City, NY; four sisters-in-law, Rebecca Wilson, Savannah, GA, Carolyn Smart, Allendale, SC, Anna Smith, Jacksonville, FL, and Rannie Busby, Cleveland, OH; three brothers-in-law, Nathaniel Owens, Philadelphia, PA, Herrington Busby, Jr., Tyler, TX, Booker Busby, Cleveland, OH; two goddaughters, Shakeitrice Stokes and Taylor Mitchell; and a host of 
nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and devoted friends. 
 
Someday we hope to meet you, Someday, we know not when We shall meet in a better land 
And never part again.
