J ^ c v e r i y { J o y c e c W iffia m s , the first child of four children bom to Eloise W. Murray and the late Jack Wilkes, in Richmond County. She was raised in a home in which God was first and Jesus was all. Like many youths of her early years, Beverly was disciplined, mannerable and ambitious. After accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, having had the personal encounter with Him, that every bom again believer must experience. Beverly was baptized at a early age, at Franklin, Covenant Baptist Church, Hephzibah, Georgia. Beverly educational acquisition was obtained from T. W. Josey School, Augusta College and Phillips College. As a student, Beverly was studious, inquisitive and persistent in her academic endeavors. She received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army in 1976. Beverly loved immensely and demonstrated her love by sponsoring children of all nationalities and cultures. Beverly gave more than thirteen years as a faithful employee for the State of Georgia at Regional Youth Development Center, until her Medical Retirement. The memories of her life are cherished by: her daughter, Tomika S. Williams; son, Franklin J. Williams; mother, Eloise W. Murray; stepfather, Alfomia Mathis; sister, Dorothea M. Simpson; grandmother, Dorothy B. Williams; great aunt, Irene B. Burton; three grandchildren, Franisha Williams, Nekaya Robinson and Tyesha Williams, all of Augusta, GA; devoted friend, Frank Wright and Family; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. The purpose o f death, which is but to gain life everlasting in God's great domain, and no one need make this journey alone, for God has promised to take care o f His own.
