A CELEBRATION OF LIFE for MRS. BESSIE PEARL WILLIAMS November 1, 1905 September 26, 1988 Saturday, October 1, 1988 - 2:00 P.M. ELIM BAPTIST CHURCH ************ Rev. Charles Smith, Officiating ** OBITUARY ** Bessie Pearl Reese, was born November 1,1905 in Harlem, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reese (Rosa Thomas). She was one of three children, Thomas, Bessie and Eva Dora. Early in her life, her family moved to Augusta, Georgia where she resided until God called her home. She was married to the late Mr. Eugene Williams. To this union two children were born, Thomas Williams and the late Rosa Lee Carter. Bessie worked untiringly in her church in the Senior Mission, Sunday School and in the community where she was an inspiration to all. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Thomas Williams; a devoted sister, Eva Johnson; six grandchildren, Anita Williams, Elmyra Williams, Eugene Williams and Albert Williams of Augusta, Ga., Bessie Pearl Williams Cunningham and Earl Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. If she could be here today, her parting words would be the testimony she lived which is appropriately conveyed in this song written by her mother, Mrs. Rosa Thomas: Follow The Lords Way Follow the Lords way, it is the Holy way. Follow the Lords way, it is the Holy way. If you follow His way, you will never go astray. Follow the Lords way, it is the Holy way. Just let me tell you the trouble with we few Christians today. We fail to follow our Fathers commandments and walk in our own way. God so loved the world, and that is you and I, He gave His only begotten son to go to the cross and die. FOLLOW THE LORDS WAY, IT IS THE HOLY (only) WAY. ** ORDER OF SERVICE ** PROCESSIONAL SELECTION............... 'Sing The Wondrous Love of Jesus No 621 SCRIPTURE......................... Rev. H. B.
