T)he Obituary 
Mrs. Josephine White was born in Richmond County on 
October 6, 1919. She was the daughter of Mary and John 
Quarles. 
She attended the public schools in Richmond County. She 
joined Elim Baptist Church at the age of 12. Later she 
married Landslet White. 
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Mamie 
Daniels, Augusta, Georgia; three sons, James White, Ed- 
ward White of Augusta, Georgia and Henry White of Eu- 
gene, Oregon; and many loving grandchildren, great grand- 
children, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Dont grieve for me, for now Im free, Im following the path God has 
laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back 
and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work 
or play, tasks left undone must stay that way, I found peace at the end 
of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered 
joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes, these things I too will 
miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of 
tomorrow, my lifes been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, 
a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, dont lengthen 
it now with undue grief, lift up your hearts, and share with me, God 
wanted me NOW, He has set me free.
