 BIOGRAPHY 
Wilhelmina Williams White was born in Millen, Georgia, the oldest of five children, to the union of Rossie Lee and William Tracey Williams. She received her education in the public schools of Newnan, Ca. and Clark College in Atlanta, Ga. 
Mrs. White taught school for a short time before coming to Augusta. Here she met and married the late Dr. W. W. White. To this union were born three children, James, Wayman Winfield, Jr., and Wilhelmina, all of whom preceded her in death. 
Mrs. White joined the church at an early age and remained an active and ardent church worker. She was a member of Trinity C.M.E. Church for more than forty years and enjoyed membership and leadership roles in numerous church groups. She was a member of the Board of Christian Education, presi dent of the Womens Council and the Sr. Auxiliary and partici pated in many other church activities, wherever a need arose. 
Mrs. Whites total interests encompassed a broad spectrum of civic and community groups, with special interests in youth individually and collectively. Some of her affiliations included long service as member and board chairman of the YWCA; member, the Open Door Kindergarten Board; the Civic Club; Bethlehem Center Board. She was a member of the Augusta Chapter of Links; past president of the Stoney Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Auxiliary; and past president of the Ga. State Medical Auxiliary. 
Mourning her loss are one brother, Joseph P. Williams; and one sister, Mrs. Selean M. Williams of Newnan, Ga.; one niece, Mrs. Theresa B. White of Chicago, III.; other relatives and friends.

Lord, when Thou seest that my work is done, Let me not linger on with failing powers, Adown the weary hours A workless worker in a world of work. But, with a word, just bid me home, And 1 will come. Right gladly yea right gladly Will I come.
