O b itu a ry Reverend John Walton entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. He as born on June 7, 1953 to the late James Eddie Walton and Georgia Ann Cummings. He attended Ursula Collins Elementary School, and went on to graduate from T. W. Josey High School. He was affiliated with Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church and New Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from First Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia. He leaves to cherish his memories three brothers, Jack (Susie) Jenkins, Millen, Georgia, Julian (Lucille) Walton, Augusta, Georgia, and James Walton, Valdosta, Georgia; four sisters, Mattie (Johnny) Hannah, Avera, Georgia, Rosa Walton House, Elaine Walton Ford, and Phyllis Perkins, Augusta, Georgia; three special friends, Lillie Mae Peterson, Calvin Williams, and Choyce Butler; a caring neighbor, Mr. Lamar Andrews and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
