Walker departed this life Friday, March 26, 2 010. He was born to the late Mr. Wads and Leathia Walker o f Conway, South Carolina. He was married to Mrs. Pauline Jones Walker for 5 2 lA wonderful years. He received his early education in Conway, South Carolina. Kenneth also served in the United States National Guard for a period o f time. He was a certified heavy machine operator for thirty-five years, as well as a successful business owner o f K & C Cleaning Services. Kenneth retired and relocated to Beaufort, South Carolina in 1987. He then joined Pine Grove Baptist Church where he was ordained as a Deacon in 1989. Kenneth took an active part in his church and community. He enjoyed singing and performed with a male singing group the "Wandering Stars." He loved fishing and gardening o f which he shared his harvest with many neighbors and friends. Kenneth and Pauline Walker then moved to Augusta, Georgia in 2 0 0 0 . They united with Tabernacle Baptist Church and with his love for singing, he joined the Men and Senior Choirs. His spiritual journey was a testament o f his perseverance and dedication to life. He was a man o f God and a man with great strengths. He also was a man o f great character, integrity and high family values. He was a man loved and respected by all those who knew him. He was selfless, understanding, caring, honest, loyal, generous and non judgmental o f others in their times o f hardship. Kenneth was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Walker and Jenell Jones; and one brother, Joseph Walker. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted wife, Mrs. Pauline Walker; six daughters, Paula Walker, Cynthia Walker, Karen Walker, Sophia (Calvin) Morrall, Kim (William) Franklin and Monica (John Swinton) Walker; sixteen grandchildren, Michael, Tashima, Joshua, Fatia, Eric, FaTaisha, Whitney, RoShawn, Jasmine, Shamira, Justin, Kareen, Evan, Jeremy, B re'ana and Jason; six great grandchildren, two brothers, Alfred Walker and James (Carolyn) Walker; two sisters, Ernestine Moore and Mary Walker; his lifelong friends, John and Sue Davis; a special church member and friend, / ' Miriam Stallings; and a host o f relatives and friends.
