Mr, Jofinnie . Tutt, Sr. was born in Augusta, Geor 
 
gia on November 26, 1944, to the late John H. Tutt and Ollie Jackson 
 
Tutt. He attended Lucy C. Laney High School and graduated with the 
 
Class of 1963. 
 
At an early age he joined Tabernacle Baptist Church under the 
 
Pastorship of Reverend A. Leon Lowry. 
 
He was employed with Babcock and Wilcox presently Thermal 
 
Ceramics Company, where he retired. 
 
On November 23, 1968, Past Master Johnnie E. Tutt, Sr., was 
 
raised in Bannaker Lodge No. 3 F&AM PHA. Past Master Tutt was 
 
elected as the youngest Worshipful Master in the history of Bannaker 
 
Lodge and served as Worshipful Master the year of 1972. Past Master 
 
Tutt was elevated to the 32 of Masonry on November 15, 1969 and 
 
received his gold card in November 2003. 
 
Johnnie E. Tutt, Sr. went from labor to reward on Friday, Janu 
 
ary 14, 2005, at 9:15 a.m.

Survivors are: one son, Johnnie Tutt, Jr., Augusta, GA; six 
 
sisters, Patricia (Charles) Anthony, Ann Cobb, Barbara Tutt, Bernice 
 
(James) Graham, Augusta, GA, Louise Tutt, Philadelphia, PA and Willie 
 
Mae Tutt, Brooklyn, NY; four brothers, Samuel (Jackie) Tutt, Florida, 
 
Tyrone Tutt, Bogee Jackson, Philadelphia, PA and Carl (Angela) Wil 
 
liams, Augusta, GA; devoted niece, Gladys Shepard, Augusta, GA; 
 
devoted nephew, Charles Anthony, Jr., Augusta, GA; and a host of 
 
nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

MY LAST REQUEST 
 
Please dont say t/iat/gaieup, just say that 1 gave in. Dont say I lost the battle, for it was Gods war to lose or win. Please dont say how good) was, but that I did my best. Just say I tried to do whats right, to give the most I could, not do less. Please dont give me wings or halos, thats for God to do. I want no more than I deserve, no extras, just my due. Please dont give flowers, or talk in harsh tones. Dont be concerned about me now, Im weil with God, Ive made it home. Dont talk about what could have been, its over and its done. Just see to all my familys needs, the battle has been won. When you draw a picture of me, dont draw me as a saint, Ive done some good, Ive done some wrong, so use all your paint. Not just the bright and light tones, use some gray and dark, in fact, dont put me down on canvas paint me in your heart. Dont just remember all the good times, but remember all the bad. For life is full of many things some happy and some sad. But if you must do something, then / have one last request, forgive me for the wrongs Ive done and with the love thatsleft. ThankGodformy soulsresting, thank God for all who loved me, Praise God who loved me best.

Dont spend too much time in mourning.  Tears are for the sad. 
I left to be with Jesus and that should make you glad. Dont waste your hours in grieving, no need to feel distress. 
Im tired of lifes frustrations and had to have some rest. Dont vex yourself with questions, or try to reason why. 
Life here for me was ended, it came my time to die. Dont lose the love I gave you, feed it with your care. 
Grow it with devotion and spread it everywhere. Dont fret because my leaving came in such a way Well have another meeting in Gods Eternal Day.
