Mrs. Idell Tussey was bom on November 13, 1902 in Bamwell County, South Carolina to the late Major and Elizabeth Bates Dunbar. In later years she moved to High Point, North Carolina; there she united with the Mt. Vemon Baptist Church and worked faithfully and served with various auxiliaries for sixty-nine years. hi 1991, due to illness, she moved to Augusta, Georgia and united with Tabernacle Baptist Church under the pastorage of Dr. C. S. Hamilton. She was a member of the Lydia Bible Class. She departed this life on January 25, 1996 at Blair Nursing Home. She is survived by: one daughter, Mrs. Ivy Bush, Columbus, Georgia; one sister, Mrs. Area Johnson, Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Mr. Charles Bates, Greensboro, Georgia, Mr. William Gary Conley, Augusta, Georgia and SSC Mavis Conley-Brooks, Columbus, Georgia; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
