Mrs. M attie Mae Rivers `Turner, the daughter o f the fate 
(Dave a n d fFannie M ae Johnson Hirers, zvas 6om in A iken County, South Carofina on November25,1925. She recievedher earfy educa tion in the puSfic schools o f the community. A fte r becoming ayoung fady, she became a Christian a n d zvas baptized a t the M eafing Qrove (Baptist Church under the spirituafguidance and feadership o f the fate (Pastor, (Reverend`WifCiam (Robinson, zvhere she remained u n tif her heafthfaifed. In the year1946, she married theyoung man o fher dreams, (Mr. (Henry Humer. Ho this union no chifdren zvere bom, b u t she helped to raise other chifdren. 
M a ttie zvas a quiet but foving person zvhom many enjoyed m eeting a n d tafking to. She departed this fife Friday morning, Judy11,2003 a t the U niversity (Hospitalin A ugusta, Qeorgia.
