Obituary 
On Monday, October 13,2004, while in Atlanta, Ga., Erika left a dying world to enter the land of the living. All saints are rejoicing as a child of th e kingdom returns home. 
Erika Jamica Terry was born in Augusta, Georgia on September 10,1932. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. (Carolyn) Terry. 
Erika was a beautiful and spirited young lady who loved the Lord above all things. This angel was converted and baptized a t Seulah Grove in 1997. She was a member of the youth Sible Study and the Orchestra Ministry where she played the violin. Erika enjoyed swimming, writing poetry, listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her favorite pastime was reading. Erika loved books! 
Although she had a calmness about her, she displayed a sense of humor and a sharp wit. She possessed m aturity beyond her years. Erika was tru ly a blessing to everyone who knew her. She took her studies seriously. 
Erika graduated from Tabernacle preschool, Monte Sano Elementary, and Hiflcrest S a p tis t where she was Valedictorian of her eighth grade class. She was a 2 0 0 0 graduate of A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering High School,and 2004Cum Laudegraduate of South Carolina S ta te University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Siology. She was a four year bronze medallion recipient and a Thurgood Marshall Scholar. Erika received a fellowship to pursue a Ph.D a t Clark-Atianta University in Siology. Erika's ultimate dream was to discover a cure fo r diabetes and other genetic diseases. 
 
Erika is survived by her parents, her two sisters, Ernita T. Johnson and Erkeisha J. Terry, and one brother, Ernest J. Terry, Jr. She was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. (Catherine) Baker, the late Johnnie A. Brown, and the late Reverend and Mrs. Willie L. Terry. She is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, classmates, church family members, and dear friends.
