Clarendon Avenue Scottdale, Georgia 30079 Obituary William A. Scruggs "Bill" William Scruggs was born in Queens, New York in 1943. He grew up in New York where he pursued his passion for music. This passion led him to Atlanta, Georgia in 1974, where he worked as an Electrical Wireman for 17 years and continued to pursue his dream of opening his own recording studio. His life long dream came true in 1995 when he opened his own recording studio, Demo-Recorders. For the next 10 years he nurtured and mentored countless up and coming recording artists. On May 18, 2005, he went to make music with the angels. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Glennoris Riley Scruggs of Atlanta, Georgia; his mother Lela Scruggs of New York; his daughters, Star-shemah (Mark) Bobatoon Gomez of Fairfax, Virginia, and Donia Marie Scruggs of New York; his son, Billy Scruggs of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Princeton and Cordell Scruggs of New York, Hurricane and Xanthia Gomez of Fairfax, Virginia; sisters, Jackie (Mac) Perry and Denise Scruggs of New York; nieces, Toshene Grills of Columbus, Georgia, Danielle Mackey and Jaclyn Perry of New York, Andreanna (Josh) Adams, Lateefah Cannon and Sonya Collins of Greenville, South Carolina; nephews, MacArthur Perry and Charles Mackey of New York, Mikel Cannon of Greenville, South Carolina; great nieces, Jourdan and Mariah; great nephews, Jalen, Najee, Elijah, and Gibraylon; and a host of Godchildren, other family members and friends. Bill Scruggs has made a profound impact on everyone he has ever met and his memory will always be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him and love him.
