Wade Scott, Officiating Jossie Ann (Joann) Riley was bom on September 27, 1949 in Barnewll County, South Carolina to the late Mr. and Mrs. William (Mary) Riley. God the Father called Joann home on March 29, 2011. Joann attended public school in Richmond County, graduatingfrom Lucy C. Laney in 1967. She continued her studies by attending Augusta Tech and Phillips College. Joann accepted Jesus as her savior at an early age at Union Branch Baptist Church in Williston, SC. Later in life she joined Elim Baptist Church where she served in the tape ministry. Joann was an avid reader and talker. She was like her mother in that she never met a stranger. Joann was an Army veteran and a civil service retiree. She received several certificates o f merit and accommodations from her employers. She was most recently employed by the Augusta Richmond County Public Library for six years. As an inspiration to many, she tried to encourage everyone to do the very best they could do. She leaves to cherish her memory, four brothers, Daniel Riley, Hampton (Leola) Riley, John (Sandra) Riley, and Willie (Elenora) Riley and one sister, Frankie Mae Riley all o f Augusta, Georgia; and a host o f nieces, nephews, otherfamily members and friends.
