AUGUSTA DELIVERANCE CHURCH 2028 Roosevelt Drive Augusta, Georgia Senior Pastor Roy Myles, Officiating Pastor Tyrone Myles, Presiding BISHOP ALEXANDER REID, JR., Bubba, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was born October 17, 1939 to the late Bishop Alexander Reid, Sr. and Rosa Bell Walton Reid. Bubba graduated from Lucy Laney High School where he excelled in basketball. He worked and retired from the Medical College of Georgia as a supervisor in the dining room. Bubba was best known for his sweet potato bread and peach cobbler. Two sisters preceded him in death, Ann Reid and Elease Reid. He leaves to mourn: a loving wife, Mary Reid; four sons, Ricardo Murray of Augusta, Georgia, Bishop Alexander Reid, III of Kentucky, Timothy Reid and George Reid both of Augusta, Georgia; three daughters, Patricia (Samuel) Cooper of Waynesboro, Georgia, Gail (Willie) Jennings of Crawfordville, Georgia and Demetrice Fann of North Carolina; two sisters, Jeanette (Augustus) Thurmond and Carrie (Willie) Curtis all of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
