Born to Laura and Joseph Raiford, October if, 1926, at Ridge Spring, South Carolina. He became a member of the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Ridge Spring at the age of nine* He came to Hempstead and joined South Hempstead Baptist Church in 1952, and was a participant of the Male Chorus* \ Theodore left to mourn, a wife, Ruth, a daughter, Judy Mae, a son, Theodore Jr*, Mother and Father, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Raiford of Ridge Spring, South Carolina, three sisters, Miss Rebecca Raiford, Mrs. Rosa Hartley of Ridge Spring, So.
