Mr. Perry was the last surviving sibling ol nine children. He was born on January 23,1919 to the late Ananias and Mattie Prince Perry ol Columbia County, Georgia. At an early age, he was converted and joined the Macedonia Baptist Church in Columbia County. Mr. Perry received his early education in the church schools ol Columbia County. He served several years in the United States Army. Believing marriage to be honorable, he united in holy matrimony with Mary Chamberlain. To this union, three children were born: William, Jr., Ludie and Don. Mr. Perry was a hard working man. He was employed by the Georgia Railroad and served them laithlully lor twenty years and retired from Clausen Concrete alter many dedicated years ol service. He was an outdoorsman. Hunting and lishing brought him great relaxation. He brought home more rabbits, raccoons and opposum than we could count. He leaves to cherish his legacy and memories: a devoted son, Mr. William Henry Perry, Jr. ol North Augusta, SC; a devoted daughter, Mrs. Ludie Mae (Earl) Johnson ol Augusta, GA ; and son, Mr. Don Levert (Kay) Perry, Sr. also ol North Augusta, SC; sister-in-law, Mrs. Corrine (Minister James) Sullivan ol North Augusta, SC; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, lour great-great grandchildren; and a host ol nieces, nephews, other relatives and iriends.
