Williams, Officiating ** OBITUARY ** XMr. Frank Nelson departed this life February 17, 1976 at 5:00 a. m. at his residence. He was born October 1, 1905 in Washington County, Georgia to the late Ben and Bertha Nelson. He was baptized at an early age at Williams Grove Baptist Church in Warrenton County. In 1940, he moved to Augusta and united with the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. H. W. Phinizy, Sr. Mr. Nelson was a World War II Veteran and was employed at the Augusta Arsenal and the Veterans Administration Hospital where he retired after 25 years. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Viola B. Nelson; V three daughters, Miss Delois Nelson, Mrs. Juanita Addison of Augusta, Mrs. Ola Marchbanks of St. Louis, Missouri; two sons, Mr. William D. Nelson, Sr., San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Joseph Nelson, Charlotte, N. C.; one sister, Mrs. Donnie B. Nelson; twelve grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Henry Addi son, Augusta and Richard Marchbanks, St. Louis; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Doris Nelson, Augusta, Mrs. Louise Nelson, Charlotte; two sisters-inlaw; one brother-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins and a host of friends. Why do we mourn departing friends, Or shake at deaths alarms? Tis but the voice that Jesus sends, To call them to his arms.
