He was born May 11,1912 in Batesburg, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Mobley. Mr. Mobley was a native of Richmond County for 57 years, where he resided with his wife, Isabella Mobley. He was a member of the Beulah Grove Baptist Church and a member of the F. & A.A.Y. Masons.
