May God Bless and Keep You! Cheri Lynn McDaniel Cheri was bom to parents Dillard and Mattie Scott on August 12, 1962. She lived in Gary, Indiana throughout her childhood. After graduating from Horace Mann High School, she pursued a career in the United States Navy. Through the Navy, she was sent to her first duty station in Honolulu, Hawaii where she met the love of her life Elijah McDaniel, Jr. They were a match made in heaven. On their journey together they were able to travel to many places such as Virginia, California and Okinawa, Japan. While in Okinawa she gave her life to Christ and later began walking in her calling by giving her time to vari- ous outreach ministries. Together, Elijah and Cheri raised two amazing daughters, Shannan and Shanea. Not only was she able to be by their sides through lifes many challenges she was also able to see and support both of them through the joys in life such as earning college degrees, getting married and having children. Cheri loved her family endlessly, but the amount of love that she had for her grandchildren was unimaginable. Some would say that she believed that they were hers. While continuing her journey in the United States, she was a part of several ministries such as the Inter- national Congress of Churches & Ministries, Ambassadors for Christ, and Christ Central Ministries. Through these partnerships, she was able to give to the community by fulfilling some of their essential needs. During her time servicing many communities, she earned several degrees and certificates. She was an ordained Minister and Chaplain through the International Congress of Churches & Ministries. She earned an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity through Agape Bible College in connection with Ambassadors for Christ Church and a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Technology through the University of Maryland. She leaves a legacy of faith, love, giving, perseverance, and family.
