As We draw Older / became a little more tired at the close of day; A little less anxious to have my way; A little less ready to scold and blame; Showed a little more care for a brother's name; And so I am now at my journey's end, Where time and eternity meet and blend, / steadfastly traveled down the way That leads to the gates of a better day. A little more laughter, a few more tears, And because of my increasing years The book is now closed and the prayers are all said. And I am now a part of the countless dead. And so 1 have gone, where all must go, To the place the living may never know. Thrice happy if then some soul can say, I'm better because she passed my way. " Poem by Rollin J.
