With the dawning of each new day, comes the setting of the sun. 
Helvic Carnard Leverett embarked on this life on June 19, 1970 
in Augusta, Georgia. His journey ended when the Lord called him 
home to rest on June 23,2006 at Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center. 
Carnard received his education in the Richmond County School 
System where he was a graduate of Westside High School. He 
furthered his education through the Joint Apprenticeship Training 
Program of the IBEW/NECA, where he graduated with the 
classification of Journeyman Wireman in Electrical Construction 
and Maintenance. He also became a member of the International 
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. 
He was employed by Bechtel/Savannah River Site until his 
retirement in August 2002. 
Carnard was a devoted family man and a friend to all he met. He 
was known for his generous nature, clever sense of humor, and 
insightful words of wisdom. He lived every day of his life with 
profound perseverance and humility. 
He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife, Mialashun Tarra Leverett, 
a daughter, Kathryn Imani Leverett, a son, Helvic Carnard (CJ) 
Leverett, Jr. his parents, Harold and Alma Leverett, two brothers, 
Harold (Marcia) Leverett of Augusta, Georgia and Christopher 
(Angela) Leverett of Statesboro, Georgia, two uncles, Thomas 
(Sarah) Leverett of Augusta, Georgia and Samuel (Martha) 
Leverett of New York City, New York, five aunts, Christine 
Gibson, Virda (Willie) Elam, Elizabeth Blackwell, all of Augusta, 
Georgia, Carolyn Young of Kansas City, Missouri, and Barbara 
Leverett of Lincolnton, Georgia, three nieces, Erika Leverett, 
Jasmine Leverett, and Tamika Holmes, a nephew, Harold Bernard 
(HB) Leverett, father and mother-in-law, Charles and Kathryn 
Holmes, two brothers-in-law, Titus (Tabatha) Holmes of 
Hephzibah, Georgia and Decosta (Mary) Holmes of Virginia 
Beach, Virginia and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Dear God, we need to know, why did you take him above ? 
His name is Helvic Camard Leverett, he is someone that we loved. 
He was our Daddy, we were his big boy and little girl. 
( We miss him so much since he left this world. 
If we had one more chance , we would hug him real tight. 
We would tell him we loved him and kiss him good-bye.
