CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF Sunrise Sunset October 18, 1940 August 14, 2016 FIRST METROPOLITAN BAPTIST CHURCH 3719 Belair Road Augusta, Georgia Reverend Enoch Ward, Jr. - Officiating PHYLLIS LEVERN SINGFIELD was born to the late Florence and Divellie Singfield on October 18, 1940. She entered into rest on August 14, 2016 at Doctors Hospital. She was an only child and the apple of her parents eyes and to them she could do no wrong. Anyone who knew her, knew she had a very strong personality and would speak her mind and meant what she said. At an early age she was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Yancy. She was a musician for the senior choir during her time there. Many years later she transferred her membership to First Metropolitan Baptist Church where she continued to use her talent as a musician. Phyllis graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy and Savannah State University. She united in matrimony to Hawthorne I. Lee and to this union two sons were born, Renuick Samuel Lee and Roddrick Belton Lee, who preceded her in death. Phyllis was affiliated with several organizations including: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, National Association of University Women, member of the Lyndale Board of Directors and former member of the Augusta Chorale just to name a few. She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted son, Renuick Samuel Lee; grandson, Rashaud Samuel Lee; granddaughter, Raven Breanna Lee; great granddaughter, Rylie Sa'mya Lee; and a host of cousins, godchildren, friends and special classmates. &hde!i (SeJwice Prelude..........................Brenda Pollard, Musician Processional.........................Clergy and Family Congregational Hymn Scriptures Old Testament...........Reverend Robert Donaldson New Testament..................Charles Cottemond Invocation.......................Reverend Nathaniel Dunn Selection................................. THE PRECIOUS WORD IS MOTHER, SHE WAS MY world you see, but now my heart is BREAKING CAUSE SHES NO LONGER HERE WITH ME. GOD CHOSE HER FOR HlS ANGEL TO WATCH ME FROM ABOVE, TO GUIDE ME AND ADVISE ME AND KNOW THAT Im STILL LOVED. THE DAY SHE HAD TO LEAVE ME WHEN HER LIFE ON EARTH WAS THROUGH, GOD HAD BETTER PLANS FOR HER, FOR THIS, I SURELY KNEW. WHEN I THINK OF HER KIND HEART AND ALL THOSE LOVING YEARS, MY MEMORIES SURROUND ME AND I CANT HOLD BACK THE TEARS. She TRULY WAS MY BEST FRIEND, SOMEONE I COULD CONFIDE IN, She ALWAYS HAD a TENDER TOUCH AND A WARM AND GENTLE GRIN. I WANT TO THANK YOU MOTHER FOR TEACHING ME SO WELL, AND THOUGH THE TIME HAS COME THAT I MUST BID YOU THIS FAREWELL. ILL REMEMBER ALL YOUVE TAUGHT ME AND MAKE YOU PROUD YOULL SEE. THANK YOU my Dear Mother for all the love you showed me. Although youve LEFT THIS EARTH AND NOW youve TAKEN FLIGHT, I KNOW THAT YOU ARE HERE WITH ME EACH MORNING, NOON AND NIGHT. We, the family of the late Phyllis Singfield Lee, would like to thank everyone for all acts of kindness shown during our time of grief.
