Mr. Alien Key, son of Mrs. Lee Thurmond Beard Key and the late Mr. Stephen Key, Sr., was born August23,1949 in Aiken County, South Carolina. .-., At an early age he was converted and joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was baptized by Rev. W. H. McCain. He was a 1967 graduate ofJefferson High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps, from 1968 until 1969, where he received a Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Champaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged after being injured in combat in Vietnam. He graduated from Modonna College in Livonia, Michigan where he majored in Criminal Justice. He was named to the position of Disabled Veteran Outreach Worker at the Michigan Employment Security Commissions Job Service Office in Taylor, Michigan. He departed this life on July 7, 1988 in the Providence Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pamala Key, Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Shelby and Allyne; five sons, Travis, Jason, Brandon, Clifton and Ryan; mother, Mrs. Lee Thurmond Beard Key, Belvedere, S.C.; six sisters, Mrs. Eva Miller, Inkster Mich., Mrs. Vivian Thompson, Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Almary Vaughn, Ms. Deloris Key, Burlington, N.C., Mrs. Katie Browning and Mrs. Lee Ramsey both of North Augusta, S.C.; three brothers, Mr. Stephen Key, Jr., San Francisco, Calif., Mr. Ellis Key, Philadelphia, Pa. and Maj. Douglas Key, Spanaway, Washington; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. ** ORDER OF SERVICE ** Rev.
