OBITUARY 
 
One write has said, "One generation succeeds another, as wave follows wave," and so it is that though we mourn the passing of one \vho has proven himself faithful, loving and kind, there remains another generation to succeed him, to follow the prints he has made upon the sands of time. But why should death be mourned when it is followed by immortality. 
 
Dea. Dennis Floyd Kennedy, son of the - late Mr. Hiram and Mrs. Annie McCord Kennedy, was born August 28, 190? in Lincoln County, Georgia;.and departed this-lie April 25, 1973 in The Un iversity Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. 
At an ecrly age he was converted, baptized and joined the ivhite Rock Baptist Church, Lin coln County, during the pastorage of the late Rev. Dennis Dent.

 Hands by Albrecht Durer, the so-called perfect artist--whose woodcut and copper engravings were major expressions of his art. He used many religious themes, and was noted for his sensitive and detailed drawings. The story is that these were the hands of someone who had great faith in his ability, and worked to help him attain his artistic training; that in the process, their own hands became so gnarled as to be incapable of equal work; and in gratitude, and because he saw theirlabor of love as beautiful, he immortalized the hands.
