FUNERAL SERVICES Wednesday, January 16, 1985 - 4:30 P.M. ELIM BAPTIST CHURCH Rev. Charles E. Smith, Officiating ** OBITUARY ** Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Jones, the daughter of the late Dea. Jim Wilson and Rebecca Cook Wilson, was born on April 29, 1894 in Saluda, South Carolina. After the family moved to Augusta, Mrs. Jones was baptized at Elim Baptist Church in 1906. She was baptized by the Rev. S. C. Walker who was the pastor of Elim at that time. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and at the time of her death, she was a member of the Senior Mission. Mrs. Jones leaves to mourn her son, Robert Jones, Miami, Florida; a cousin, Bernice Williams, Patterson, New Jersey; close family friends, Gladys Briscoe, Mattie Mitchell, Elizabeth Wright, George Jones, Annie Mae Walker, and a host of very dear friends.
