** OBITUARY ** 
Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Jones, the daughter of the late Dea. Jim 
Wilson and Rebecca Cook Wilson, was born on April 29, 1894 in 
Saluda, South Carolina. 
After the family moved to Augusta, Mrs. Jones was baptized at 
Elim Baptist Church in 1906. She was baptized by the Rev. S. C. 
Walker who was the pastor of Elim at that time. 
She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and at the time of her 
death, she was a member of the Senior Mission. 
Mrs. Jones leaves to mourn her son, Robert Jones, Miami, 
Florida; a cousin, Bernice Williams, Patterson, New Jersey; close 
family friends, Gladys Briscoe, Mattie Mitchell, Elizabeth Wright, 
George Jones, Annie Mae Walker, and a host of very dear friends. 
WEEP NOT FOR ME 
Weep not for me and all my labors, 
Nor for this body so bent and sore. 
Weep not for my soul for I am going 
To a place where I will toil no more. 
Think not that I have gone away; 
And think not of the races I have run. 
But remember me fondly on this day 
And think of the victory l have won!
