man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated 
 
into a better language. ... 
 
The first chapter in the life of Lillian Banks Jones begins at 
 
the place of her birth in Lincoln County, Georgia, where she 
 
gladdened the hearts of her parents, the late Lewis Banks and 
 
Belauh Murray Banks. 
 
Lillian Banks Jones always had a nice word to say about 
 
everyone; always elected to remain silent rather than criticize. 
 
She was a member of Prices Grove Baptist Church. She also 
 
attended the First Baptist Church until her health failed. She 
 
also attended the Senior Citizens Center. 
 
She was united in holy wedlock to Henry Jones. To this union 
 
they were blessed with a son. 
 
She was a devoted wife and mother, one who always put the 
 
interest of her family first. She had a happy life nurturing her 
 
nieces and nephews with loving care, spiritual guidance, and 
 
material comfort. Death nor time can destroy "Precious 
 
Memories." 
 
On Thursday morning, April 29, 1993, the Death Angel 
 
beckoned, calling Lillian B. Jones to her reward. She concluded 
 
the last chapter in her book of life, and it is placed on the shelf of 
 
eternity. 
 
Those who will miss her most: her husband, Mr. Henry Jones 
 
of Lincolnton, Ga.; her son, Mr. David Jones, Augusta, Ga.; a 
 
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rosalind Jones, Augusta, Ga.; a 
 
grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Christine B. Glaze of Lincolnton, 
 
Ga., Mrs. Doris P.. Milton and Mrs. Margaree Sheppard of 
 
Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Mr. Johnny Banks, Lincolnton, 
 
Ga., Mr. Murray Banks, Detroit, Mich.; three brothers-in-law, 
 
four sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, 
 
and friends to mourn her passing.
