"When Only Memories Remain, Let Them Be Beautiful" 
 
 Miss Allene Jennings was born July 4, 1919 to the late Claude and Viola Jennings o f Harlem, Georgia. At an early age, she joined the New Holt Baptist Church in Harlem, Georgia. In Harlem, she was reared and lived all o f her life. She received an early education at Pollards Academy and afterwards graduated from The Haines Normal Industrial Institute in Augusta, Georgia. Her career began at AAFES in Fort Gordon, Georiga where she retired in the year 1973. After retirement, she pursued some her her favorite hobbies by gardening and collecting unique items. Saturday, February 19, 2000 after a brief illness, she departed this life at the St. Joseph Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. 
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sisters, Norma J. Henry and Virginia J. Jennings both o f Los Angeles, California and Frankie M. Mitchell o f Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also leaves to cherish an uncle, Henry Jennings (Orawynn) of Los Angeles, California; a sister-inlaw Alma Jennings o f Harlem, Georgia; three nephews, Byron L. Robinson and Aaron G. Henry o f Los Angeles, California and Kelly M. Mitchell o f Denver, Coloroda; one niece Jan A. Jennings o f Harlem, Georgia. Many friends and loved ones grieve her departure.
