Dr. Sam Davis, P a s to r OBITUARY Cfc tr. cfyle fvtn fa cfiso n , son o f the late William Cicero Jackeon and the late Evelyn Lee Heath Jackson, entered into rest on Friday, November 14, 2 0 0 3 a t University Hospital. Mr. Jackson was a native of Warren County, Ga., but made his home in Augusta. He was a 1965 graduate of L.R. Norris High School in Thomson, Ga., where he played football and ran track. During his adult life, he became an avid golfer. He was a faithful member of Beulah Grove B aptist Church where he was a member of the Male Chorus and the Visionary Stewardship Ministry. Mr. Jackson was also a very active member of the Reuben Tribe (3 0 9 0 6 Zip Code). Prior to his uniting with Beulah Grove, Mr. Jackson was a steward a t Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church. He was employed by the Richmond County Board of Education. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mrs. Phyllis D. Jackson; three children, David, Melanie & Melvin Gino; two brothers, Mr. William R. Jackson, Atlanta, Mr. Sylvester Jackson, North Augusta, S.C.; one sister, Mrs. Lena Mae Sullivan, Augusta; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Holloway, Claudeile Johnson (Edgar), Constance Reid, and Carolyn L. Jackson, all of Augusta; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
