HOMEGOING SERVICES for MRS. BARBARA JACKSON Saturday, February 9, 1985 - 2:00 P.M. UNITED HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL PEOPLE 1269 Wrightsboro Rd. ************ Elder H. Swaringen, Pastor Elder J. Sullivan, Officiating ** OBITUARY ** Parting is such sweet sorrow, hut we shall all meet again and I believe, yes, I believe that there is a better place. Most people look upon death as a dark and gloomy thing, but death to the righteous is like the lowering cloud that shuts the sun at noonday. It is only moving out of this cold, friendless world into a better place, eternal daylight. This is what Sis. Barbara Jackson has done. She was born to Mrs. Nettie White and Mr. Tom Jones on November 2, 1935. On December 31, 1952, she was united in Holy Wedlock to Mr. Alton Jackson who preceeded her in death and to this union six children were born. Working in the House of Prayer was top priority for Sis. Jackson. There was no task too great, too small that she would not try to do. She joined this great faith in Dearing, Georgia in 1935 when she was still yet young. While working in the House of Prayer she was a member of the Back the Attack Club, the McCollough Nurses of Sugar Hill, and the McCollough Queen Board. Her beautiful smile and gracious gestures will live in our hearts eternally. She leaves to carry on six children: three daughter, Mrs. Sherry J. Rouse, Mrs. Joyce J. Williams and Miss Sylvia Jackson, all of Augusta, Georgia; three sons, Mr. Toney Jackson, Mr. Oscar Jackson and Mr. Charles Jackson, all of Augusta, Georgia; mother, Mrs. Nettie White of Augusta, Georgia; father, Mr. Tom Jones of Evanston, Illinois; one brother, Mr. James Jones of Atlanta, Georgia; mother-in-law, Mrs. Beatrice Cassey of Thompson, Georgia; two sons-in-law, Mr. Terry Rouse and Mr. Obie Williams, both of Augusta, Georgia; one daughter- in-law, Mrs. Maysie G.
