HOME GOING CELEBRATION IN MEMORY OF *Maggie Self Key APRIL 4, 1928 ~ FEBRUARY 28, 2005 ~ Saturday ~ March 5, 2005 2:00 P.M. Keys Qrove Baptist Church Keysville, Georgia Reverend Rickey Q. Dent ~ OFFICIATING ~ Obituary Sis. MAQQIE SELF KEY HOBBS went home to rest on Monday, February 28, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Annie Key and Austin Streetman, raised by her aunt, the late Janie Self. She was converted at an early age and joined the Keys Grove Baptist Church. She attended Palmer Elementary School, Keysville, Georgia. The Lord took from her all pain and took her to Himself, where there is no pain and no burden of a tear. There are three steps to heaven; out of self, into Christ, and into Glory. Sis. Maggie Hobbs took these first two steps in her life and lived a beautiful life in Christ. Now, she has taken the third step, where there is no more weeping, no pain, no sorrow, no disappointment. We know she is satisfied now and that she is reaping His great rewards reserved for the faithful. Sis Maggie Hobbs has fulfilled that purpose and her friends and family though they may weep awhile, should rejoice with her and thank our heavenly Father for the life she lived among us and for taking her to the land of Glory as He has promised all the faithful. Sis Maggie Self Key was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Nazzie Hobbs 011 October 21, 1947. To this union four daughters were born. She leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Brenda Hobbs, Janie Cooper, Denice Hobbs, and Sandra Hobbs, all of Augusta, GA; one brother, Charles Key; one sister-in-law, Mozel Key; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grands; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Olive and Keys Grove Bapist Church Ushers "A Tribute To Mrs. Hobbs" As I sat down at my table to say "goodbye" in my own way , tears began to flood my shirt and I said Lord , this pain really hurts . He began to remind me of the phone calls from you every other day , the sweet potato pie at Thanksgiving, the gift at Christ mas, going to Church together, laughing together, and most of all praying on the phone together. The love you showed me was so genuine and real its not a love you get from everyone that you can feel. Your kind words of encouragement were always on time and just to hear your small voice when I called would always let me know you were doing fine . Even when I visit your home you would always greet me with a hug and kiss thats another part of you that I will truly miss, just the other day before the Lord took you home we prayed and sung at your bedside one of our favorite songs . I love you Mrs. Hobbs, you II never be forgotten. God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes I watched as you passed away, Although I could not make you stay . A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke my heart to prove to me He only takes the best. Love, Tiffany Y. Bussey (Or as you called me , Your "Granddaughter") ~ In Appreciation ~ We, the family, would like to express our most sincere thanks to each and everyone who have provided us with prayers and warm words of sympathy and kindness. May you continue to keep us in your prayers. May God bless you and keep you in His care. -. . : ~ The Family Services Entrusted To HISTORIC DENTS UNDERTAKING ESTABLISHMENT 930 DAntignac Street ~ Augusta, Georgia 706.722.4809
