Hatney, Pastor OBITUARY Byron A. Hatney, affectionately know as Bhat", son of Rev. Dr. Johnny R. and Joyce W. Hatney, was bom August 2,1970, in Waukegan (Lake County), Illinois. He was converted and baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of The Reverend J. S. Wright at age 7. Byron was educated in both Aiken and Richmond Counties and was a 1988 graduate of A. R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering High School. He attended Morehouse College and was graduated from Paine College. Golden Apple Award Winner He fulfilled his calling as an educator at the Academy of Richmond County High School, teaching biology, physical science and chemistry, touching so many along way. Byron enjoyed life and helping others enjoy their lives as well. His smiles warmed the hearts of everyone he encountered. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, sister, maternal grandfather, Rev. J. S.
