WILLIAM E. GREGORY, DAP, eighty'three, of Augusta, 
Georgia, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born 
March 5,1934 in Gaffney, South Carolina to the late Lawrence 
Gregory, Sr. and Clara Simmons Gregory. 
He retired from the United States Army after twenty-two 
years and later retired from the V.A. Hospital. He was an 
outstanding member of the American Legion Post 505 and the 
V. F. W. Post 3887. 
Mr. Gregory is survived by: his wife of sixty'One years, Moto 
Tashiro Gregory; two daughters, Moretta (Eric) Cooper 
of Sumter, South Carolina, Willette (Timothy) Barnes 
of Hampton, Virginia; sister, Miller Ree G. Rawlison of 
Greensboro, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Shaniece 
Jackson, Midori Jackson, TNeill Cooper, Chanel Cooper and 
Capri Cooper; great grandson, Omari Brown; and a host of 
nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 
Each of us possess the potential for a winning life. Within us is the 
ABILITY TO LIVE WITH THE COURAGE TO HAVE FULFILLING RELATIONSHIPS, TO 
ENJOY GOOD HEALTH AND PROSPERITY, TO FEEL AND SHOW TRUE COMPASSION 
FOR OTHERS, AND THE POWER TO FACE AND SURMOUNT OUR DEEPEST PROBLEMS. 
Crucial to living a winning life is to undergo an inner transformation 
THAT WILL ENABLE US TO BRING OUT OUR HIGHEST HUMAN QUALITIES AND 
CHANGE OUR CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS PROCESS IS A REVOLUTION OF OUR 
OWN CHARACTER, AND INDIVIDUAL HUMAN REVOLUTION. THE PRACTICE 
of Buddhism as taught by Nichiren Daishonin is a catalyst for 
EXPERIENCING THIS INNER REVOLUTION. It PROVIDES US WITH IMMEDIATE 
ACCESS TO THE UNLIMITED POTENTIAL INHERENT IN OUR LIVES BY WHICH WE 
CAN LIVE A WINNING LIFE. 
The basic prayer or chant is Nam-Myoho--RengE'Kyc. -iis is the 
NAME OF THE MYSTIC LAW THAT GOVERNS LIFE ETERNALLY THROUGFiOUT THE 
universe. Nichiren Daishonin revealed this law as the underlying 
PRINCIPLE CONTAINED IN BUDDHISMS HIGHEST TEACHING, THE LOTUS SUTRA. 
All life is an expression or manifestation of this law. Thus when we 
CHANT THIS MYSTIC LAW, WE ATTUNE OUR LIVES TO THE PERFECT RHYTHM 
OF THE UNIVERSE.
