She was born July 7, 1925 in Screven County, Georgia where she attended public school. She was the mother of two children, Thelma Johnson and baby boy Joseph, who preceded her in death. A t an early age she was converted and attended Saint Andrew A. M. E. Methodist Church in Millhaven, GA. On March 14, 20 04 , she joined and was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit a t Seulah Grove S a p tist Church. She is now resting in the arms of the Father. To cherish her memory one brother, Norman (Alice) Hurst, one sister, Minnie L. Kitchings, both of Augusta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Ralph (Carolyn) Ferguson, Jr., and Cathie Johnson, both of S t. Petersburg, Florida; six stepchildren, Arthur, Jr., Mary Louise, Jimmy, Willie, Mary and David Gibson, all of Augusta, Georgia; a devoted goddaughter, Janice Curry, of Augusta, Georgia; two dear friends, Eloise Cobbs, and Ella Fields, both of Augusta, Georgia; two special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Pete Whatley, of Augusta, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including two devoted greatgreat nephews, Jamaal Marguis and Darrius Ware.
