He was a loving husband and a loving father. MR. ROBERT FRED FREEMAN, a son o f the late William and Tencie Brunson Freeman was bom in Edgefield County, on August 30, 1935. Quietly he departed this life on Sunday, March 20, 1994 in the Baptist Medical Center, Columbia, SC, a after short illness. At an early age, he joined the Springfield Baptist Church where he maintained his membership until his passing. He received his education in the public schools o f Edgefield County, SC. He retired from the Monsanto Company in January 1993 after twentyfive (25)years of service. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Miss Annie Ruth Bates. To this union five children were bom; one child preceded him in death. Fred will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. We are praying for God to give us strength to endure. He leaves to cherish his fond memories; his wife, Mrs. Annie R. Freeman, Saluda, SC; one daughter, Rita R. Freeman, Saluda, SC; three sons, Roderic, Freddie and Adrian Freeman, Saluda, SC; a granddaughter, Karkeeta T. Lewis, Saluda, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Martha K. Gordon, Edgefield, SC; Ms. Claudina Freeman and Mrs. Jessie F. Manley, Columbia, SC; three brothers, Mr. Johnnie Harrison, Washington, DC, Mr. David Freeman, Edgefield, SC and Mr. Truman Freeman, Columbia, SC; eight sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law; thirteen aunts, six uncles; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many sorrowing friends. Humbly submitted THE FAMILY RESTING Once my hands were always trying, Trying hard to do my best; Now my heart is sweetly trusting, And my soul is all at rest. Once my brain was always planning, And my heart, with cares oppressed; Now I trust the Lord to lead me, And my life is all at rest. Once my life was full of effort.
