He entered into eternal rest on September 9, 2021. Affectionately known as Jesse, Jr., he was a graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School, Class of 1968. He was employed with Menardi Criswell until he retired. Jesse had a heart of gold and was a friend to many. He never met a stranger. He also loved singing and most of all, cooking. Jesse was preceded in death by: one son, Lawarren Flournoy; six brothers; and five sisters. He leaves in his loving memory: two daughters, Letisha (Shon) Cobb of McDonough, Georgia, and Lakia Holmes of Augusta, Georgia; three sons, Jesse Flournoy, II, Justin Flournoy, and JaQuez Flournoy, all of Augusta, Georgia; three sisters, Elizabeth Harrison, Willie Jennett (Richard) Miller, and Mozella Flournoy, all of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
