F l o r e n c e A d a m s Fa u s t , the daughter of the late John Adams, Jr. and the late Rebecca Dinkins Adams was born J a n u a ry 9, 1925 in Richland County, South Carolina. She departed this life on Thursday, April 18, 1996. Mrs. Florence A. F a u st attended the public school of G adsden in Lower Richland County. She received a B.A. degree in Elem entary Education from Benedict College in Columbia and a M asters in Education from South Carolina S tate College in Orangeburg. She tau g h t at the form er B utler High School in Barnwell and the former Orangeburg County Training School in E llo ree. She cam e to th e 'D enm ark Com m unity in 1952 and began teaching at Voorhees E lem en tary School, la te r nam ed D en m ark -O lar Elementary. It is there she taught until her retirem ent. Mrs. Faust taught first and second grades throughout her career. A dedicated teacher, M rs. F au st was a lifetim e m em ber of th e N ational Education Association and S.C. E d u c a tio n A sso c ia tio n 's. She w as also a m e m b e r of Edisto Reading Council, Alpha K appa Alpha Sorority, Rome B aptist Church M issionary Circle No. IV and the Pulpit Aid Club.
