Clyde Hill, Sr., Pastor - Officiating ** OBITUARY ** Two of lifes greatest mysteries are birth and death. We never cease to wonder about these inevitables. Death, for certain, always comes as a welcomed friend. Such an experience came to Mrs. Lela Youngblood Fason on Thursday morning, January 1, 1987. Lela Calham Youngblood Fason was born in Anderson, South Carolina, October 26, 1911 to Bill and Estell Calham. Lela moved to Augusta at an early age. Here she met and married Charles Youngblood, Sr. To this union one son was born, Charles Youngblood, Jr. Since that time both husband and son have gone on to glory. Later in life, Lela married Willie Fason and remained married to him until March 27,1968 when the Lord called him home. They did not have any children. Lela joined the Mount Calvary Church Family in 1937 under the leadership of Rev. E. A. Moss. She served in the church faithfully in many areas, including the Senior Usher Ministry until her health rendered duties impossible.
