MeTAsvilU Since it has pleased the alwise God in his povidence to take from our midst, the soul of our beloved Bro. John Robert (J. R.) Dunn. He was born April 14, 1917, in Lincoln County, Georgia, and departed this life Thursday, October 8, 1981. He was the son of the late Mr. Jesse Mercer Dunn and Mrs. Daisy B. Dunn. He was a native of Lincoln County, Georgia and had lived in Lincoln County all of his life. At an early age, he joined the Lower Tabernacle Baptist Church. He possessed a very kind and pleasant disposition, and was loved by everyone. A sweet life ended Thursday morning when he was taken from us. His willingness to help others was his life purpose, as well as his enthusiasm for his fellowman. He has now fulfilled that purpose and now we thank our Heavenly Father for the life he lived among us and for taking him to the land that he has prepared for the faithful. Those who are deeply touched are his devoted wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Dunn, Lincolnton, Ga.; his daughters, Mrs. Sue Tom Jackson, Macon, Ga., Mrs. Helen Isaac, Teaneck, N. J., and Mrs. Marion Bennings, Appling, Ga.; his sons, Bro. Robert H. Dunn, Augusta, Ga. and Bro. Jerome Dunn of Hillside, N J.; his mother, Mrs. Daisy Dunn, Lincolnton, Ga., his sister, Mrs. Myrtice Murray, Atlanta, Ga., one brother, Bro. Marion Dunn, Lincolnton, Ga.; two aunts, Mrs. Hattie Beard and Mrs. Mamie Joe Beard, Lincolnton, Ga.; one uncle, Bro. Ciscero Beard, Lincolnton, Ga.; two daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, 13 grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Acknowledgements Words are inadequate to express the humbleness and gratefulness we feel toward all our friends who have consoled us during our bereavement. Your prayers, your love, your presence, and service has sustained us. Your cards, telegrams, flowers, and gifts of food were warmly appreciated. We saw all of these as Gods love expressed through you. Whatever you did to console our hearts we thank you very much. Master of Ceremony ................ Bro. WJiiieJ. Tony Turner Honorary Pallbearers Member of The Trustee Board of Lower Tabernacle Baptist Church Ushers of the Lower Tabernacle Baptist Church Now the Lord has laid him down to rest, As the sun sinks far into the west. Evening shadows around him now fall, He heard his dear Saviour's call. His day is ended, his work is done, Life's bettle fought and the victory won. Heartache and sorrow all shall cease, And now his soul shall rest in peace. Wrnqkr ANd JONES FUNERA!. HOME - REVERENCE - SERVICE OR 295-4255 , CEORqiA
