Obituary
MR. CLARENCE L. DOZIER, retired Sergant 1st. Class of the U. S. Army was the son of the late Romulus and Annie Johnson Dozier, born December 22, 1935. He departed this life suddenly, Tuesday Evening, October 17, 1995 in Saluda County, SC.
He received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, SC. He did further studies in college for two years.
At an early age he joined the Rock Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the N.C.O. Club.
He was a retired veteran of the US Army. He had served his country for many years. After he retired he lived in the Atlanta Area for a few years and he returned to his hometown (Saluda) to live about three years ago.
CLARENCE was a good man who loved life. He had warmth and quiet charm, an easy smile, and a heart of gold. To know him was to love him.
He leaves to mourn his passing; his wife, Bernice M. Dozier of the home; two sons, Clarence M. Dozier of the home and Fred Nash, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga; two daughters, Beverly Simmons of Atlanta, Ga and Regena Barnes of Stone Mountain, GA; six sisters, Mary L. Coleman, Wash ington, DC, Annie L. Smokes, Ruth Watson, Carrie Dozier, Gladys Smith and Sherelleyne Dukes all of Saluda, SC; three brothers, Artis Dozier, Saluda, SC, Romulus Dozier, Washington, DC and Henry Dozier, Queens, NY; seven grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Christine Murphy, Grif fin, GA; one son-in-law; eight sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law; three uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
