In Appreciation
Just when friends are needed, you find them always near.
Just when shadows darken, their comforting words you hear.
Your thoughtfulness during this time of tremendous loss means
more than words can say. Our journey to healing has begun
through the many acts of kindness shared by our extended
family and many friends.
Thank you for the numerous ways you have shown that your life
was touched by our beloved, J.C. Douglas. The flowers are
beautiful, the visits are welcomed, the prayers are comforting,
the love is sustaining. As we continue to perpetuate his
memory and allow his life to have an enduring impact on the
future, we invite you to share the passion he had for young
people and their education. The J.C. Douglas Memorial
Scholarship Fund was established in 2014, to assist students
who exemplify leadership, sportsmanship, and community
service, all qualities that characterized his life. He was a
blessing to countless young people, and his legacy will continue
through his generosity in establishing this endowment.
