 ** OBITUARY ** 
Mrs. Darlington was born on September 20, 1904 to the parents of Mr. & Mrs. Samuel L. Redd of Eatonton, Georgia, where she received her elementary and secondary education. 
After completing high school, she entered the Lamar School of Nursing (University Hospital) in Augusta, Georgia. She was employed at the University Hospital and later served as head nurse. She was also employed at St. Joseph's Hospital and the County Youth Development Center where she remained until she retired in 1968. 
She was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served until her illness. She was a member of the Senior Choir and the Nurses' Guild. 
Mrs. Darlington was the wife of the late Henry Darlington, Sr. and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Theodoro Booker of Augusta, Ga. and Mrs. Gwendolyn Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, Dr. Henry Darlington, Jr. of Fayetville, N.C.; three grandsons, Reginald Johnson of Washington, D.C., Marque Darlington of Atlanta, Ga., and Leon Booker of Augusta, Ga.; four granddaughters, Adrienne Gamble of Knob Nouster, Missouri, Carla Hairston of Atlanta, Ga., Karen Gwendolyn Darlington of Fayetville, N.C. and Yolanda Johnson; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Brown of Chicago, 111. and Mrs. Lucille Paschal of Topeka, Kansas; two brothers, Mr. Henry Redd and Mr. Thomas Redd both of Chicago, 111.; three great-grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
