Don't think o f him ns gone away . . . his journey's just begun; 
life holds so many facets . . . this earth is only one. 
Just think o f him as resting from the sorrows and the tears In a place o f warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing 
that we could know, today, how nothing but our sadness 
can really pass away. And think o f him as living in the hearts o f those he touched . . . for nothing loved is ever lost. . . and he was loved so much.

 O&ituary 
Mr. James Arthur Daniel, 74, was born October 18, 1923, in Saluda, South Carolina. He was the son of the late John Arthur and Shadie Graham Daniel. He departed this life on April 24, 1998, at the Saluda Nursing Center in Saluda, South Carolina. 
He received his education in Suddath Rural School in Saluda, South Carolina and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. 
Early in life he joined Penn Creek Baptist Church where he was a faithful member and Deacon until his health declined. He was a past member of Masonic Lodge #214. 
James, "Sleepy", as he was called by his family and friends, will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was married to Annie Bell Hill. To this union five children were born. 
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Alice Padgett (Ulysses) and Mrs. Elnora Adams (Daniel) of Edgefield, South Carolina , Mrs. Linda D. Eaddy (the late Jack) of Oraneburg, South Carolina and Mrs. Sandra Ann Watson (William, Jr.) of Greenwood, South Carolina; one son, Mr. Harvey S. Daniel of Columbia, South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Clara D. Williams (Vannie) and one brother, Mr. Charlie S. Daniel (Virginia) of Saluda, South Carolina; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; one aunt, Ida Graham of Saluda, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other sorrowing relatives, and friends. 
 
7 have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a thorn o f righteousness/'
