 ERLENE ODOM COLEMAN was born September 23,1919 in Dunbarton, South Carolina. She was the oldest o f three children born to the late Sallie Gantt and Aaron Odom. 
Erlene accepted Christ at an early age and was a member o f St. Thomas Grove Baptist Church. After moving to Augusta, she joined the Moses Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully unto death. She was a member o f the R. B. Bush Chorus, the Senior Choir, Trustee Board and other ministries o f the church. 
Erlene was a member o f the Turpin Hill Neighborhood Association, Eastview and Carrie J. Mays Senior Citizen Clubs. 
Erlene retired after working many years at Talmadge Hospital. 
She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Barry (Cathy) Coleman o f Augusta, Georgia; two daughters, Creola (George) Mack and Shirley Anderson, both o f Augusta, Georgia; two stepchildren, Cedric (Teisha) Coleman and Cynthia Coleman, bothofSanford,Florida; sixgrandchildren, Corey Anderson o f San Diego, California, Michael (Selene) Mack o f West Haverstraw, New York, Roderic L. Mack o f Manhattan, New York, Sharon Mack o f Wyandanch, New York and Anthony Coleman o f Augusta, Georgia; a host o f great grandchildren; two nieces, Sallie (Lurie) Bennett o f Brooklyn, New York and Rosalyn Sapp o fAugusta, Georgia; two nephews, Quillie Odom o f Manassas, Virginia and Tom Bennett o fAugusta, Georgia; a special loving great nephew, Tom Aaron Bennett, Jr. o f Augusta, Georgia; goddaughter, Brenda Dunn; two godsons, Ronald Danforth and Leon Sabb; and a special dearfriend, Carolyn Johnson.
