'Maurice Boomer, Eubopist sir `The Obituary Mrs. Margaret Rolland Churchwell, 85, of Leitner Mill Rd., died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Medical College of GA in Augusta, GA. She was born in Harlem, GA to the late Lindsey and Sadie Dorsey Rolland. Mrs. Churchwell joined the New Holt Baptist Church at an early age. She attended public school in Columbia County. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late James Churchwell. She moved to Sandusky, OH and lived there for 52 years before returning to Harlem, GA in 1998. While in Ohio, she worked for a brief time before becoming a fulltime homemaker. She loved to cook for her family and church. She also loved to sing and dance. She will be deeply missed by: one daughter, Mary T. Sanders of Harlem. GA; four stepsons whom she raised, James (Karen) Churchwell, Franklin (Rose) Churchwell of Sandusky, OH, Jessie (Clara) Churchwell, Micheal Churchwell of Augusta, GA; one stepdaughter, Bessie Churchwell of Clifton, TN; three sisters, Clara Johnson, Carolyn Burkridge, Katherine (Frank) Jenkins of Harlem, GA; five brothers. Earnest Rolland, Hulon Roland, Ellis Rolling, Charles Roland, Willie Rolland, all of Harlem. GA; 12 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
