FIRST SHILOH BAPTIST CHURCH 2343 Windsor Spring Road Augusta, Georgia Reverend Darryl Burns, Officiating I ALLIE MAE CHEATHAM was born on February 16,1935, in Natchez, Alabama to Maggie Jane Marshall and Nathaniel Johnson. She was raised by her grandparents, Earthy and Albertha Marshall in Beatrice, Alabama. Allie received her education through the public school system of Monroe County and graduated high school at the age of sixteen. She accepted Christ at the young age of eight at Shiloh Baptist Church, where she was baptized and worked in many auxiliaries in the church. Soon after graduating high school, Allie migrated to Pensacola, Florida and married Howard Cheatham. She was blessed with three children: Jennie, Brunetta and Billie. They then relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Allie worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for twenty'five years. After retiring, Allie and Howard moved to Augusta, Georgia. Allie was a loyal servant of God and served faithfully. She became an ordained minister in 1978 at St. Marys Missionary Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and had been spreading and living by the Word ever since. Allie was a member of William Grove Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Georgia. She also fellowshipped with several churches throughout Augusta and was lovingly known as Mother Cheatham. W" Dont grieve for me, for now Im free. Im following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I TURNED MY BACK AND LEFT IT ALL. I COULD NOT STAY ANOTHER DAY, TO LAUGH, TO LOVE, TO WORK OR PLAY. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I FOUND that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, THEN FILL IT WITH REMEMBERED JOY. A FRIENDSHIP SHARED, A LAUGH, A KISS; Allie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty'two years, Howard Cheatham; beloved daughter, Brunetta East; and brothers, Theophus Davison, Willie Davison, Joseph Odom and Oliver Wingate. Allie answered the call of her loving Savior and transitioned into her promised paradise on Wednesday, February 7,2018. She will forever live on in the hearts of her family. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: son, Billie East; daughter, Jennie East; sisters, Florence Wingate, Bernadine Clark and Patrica Ezell; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; four sisters'inTaw and two brothers'inTaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends. OH YES, THESE THINGS, I TOO WILL MISS. Be NOT BURDENED WITH TIMES OF SORROW. I WISH YOU THE SUNSHINE OF TOMORROW. My LIFES BEEN FULL, I SAVORED MUCH; GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD TIMES, A LOVED ONES TOUCH. Perhaps my time seems all too brief; dont lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free. entice Reverend Charles C.
